Prudence International Residential School hosted a meaningful Youth Awareness Programme on “Zero Waste & Circular Economy: Building a Sustainable Future” on 18 August 2026 at the S.P. Auditorium. The programme aimed to foster leadership, responsibility, experiential learning, and environmental consciousness among the participants.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment, followed by a soulful prayer presented by the students. The Welcome Address by the Administrator set a warm and purposeful tone for the programme, followed by the introduction of the distinguished guest, Prof. Dr. Sadhan Kumar Ghosh, Director General, Sustainable Development & Circular Economy Research Center, ISWMAW.
Dr. Ghosh addressed the gathering and shared valuable insights on zero-waste practices, circular economy, sustainable development, and responsible consumption. His inspiring address encouraged students to embrace sustainable practices and contribute meaningfully towards a greener future.
The programme progressed from learning to experiential engagement through practical activities on SREs, providing participants with opportunities to explore concepts and gain hands-on learning experiences. A significant highlight was the Oath-Taking Ceremony, which reinforced the values of responsibility, integrity, discipline, and commitment.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, Trustee, Administrator, teachers, students, and everyone who contributed to its successful conduct. The event was a memorable blend of knowledge, inspiration, sustainability, experiential learning, and leadership, motivating students to become responsible citizens and active contributors to a sustainable future.
