Prudence International Residential School, Hirehalli, Tumkur, celebrated the 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 with immense patriotic fervour under the theme “Viksit Bharat.” The celebration commenced with the gathering of students, the arrival of the distinguished guests, majestic flag hoisting, solemn flag salute and the National Anthem, followed by patriotic slogans, a unity march and a captivating Flag Anthem.
The programme was graced by Mr. Abhishek Mishra, Deputy Commandant, CISF, 10th Battalion, Dabaspet, as the Chief Guest.Prof. G.S. Renukappa, President, Benaka Education and Charitable Trust, delivered the Presidential Address. Ms. Subarna Chatterjee, Principal, PIRS, introduced the Chief Guest.
The cultural showcase was a vibrant display of patriotism and talent, featuring melodic patriotic songs, tableaux, Tri-Colour Stick Drill, Scarf Drill, aerobics, Hindi patriotic choral rendition, dances on national symbols, a patriotic instrumental mashup, Kannada patriotic song, celebrating the unsung heroes of India. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt expression of gratitude by Shreyas R, School President.
The memorable celebration beautifully reflected the spirit of unity, patriotism, cultural diversity and the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
