AU REVOIR 2025: A HEARTFELT FAREWELL
The halls of Prudence International Residential School echoed with mixed emotions on March 19, 2025, as students, teachers, and staff gathered to bid farewell to our 10th graders. The "Au Revoir" ceremony, aptly named to signify "goodbye until we meet again," commenced with the arrival of students and guests. The formal proceedings commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by distinguished guests and school officials, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and the bright futures awaiting . This was followed by a solemn prayer, setting a reflective tone for the occasion.
The school Administrator extended a warm welcome to everyone present, highlighting the importance of the day in the academic calendar and the lives of our departing students.
The Principal's and the Director's address was particularly moving, offering heartfelt wishes for the future endeavors of our students, while reminding them of the values and lessons they carry forward from their time at Prudence.
The respective class teachers shared words of encouragement and farewell. Their speeches, filled with anecdotes and memories, brought both smiles and tears to many faces in the audience.
One of the most touching moments came when a Junior Grade 10 student delivered a speech expressing gratitude to the seniors for their guidance and mentorship. This was followed by reflective speeches from Senior Grade 10 students who shared their journey through the years at Prudence, recounting challenges overcome and milestones achieved.
The Presidential Address by Prof. GS Renukappa, President of Benaka Education & Charitable Trust, provided inspiration and wisdom, urging students to embrace the future with courage and conviction.
In recognition of their academic journey, each student was presented with a beautifully crafted scroll, a token of appreciation from the school. The moment of receiving this memento was particularly significant, symbolizing the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.
The ceremony transitioned to a more festive atmosphere with cultural performance by Junior 10th graders, who presented a medley of songs that resonated with themes of friendship, memories, and hope. A highlight of the afternoon was the screening of a video montage featuring precious memories from the students school years, prompting nostalgic smiles.
The farewell reached its emotional peak with the singing of the School Anthem, followed by the lighting of diyas, symbolizing the light of knowledge that our students will carry forward. The afternoon concluded with refreshments and high tea, providing a final opportunity for camaraderie and conversation.
As our students step into the wider world, they carry not just knowledge and skills, but also values, friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime. The "Au Revoir" ceremony was not just a goodbye but a celebration of achievement and potential, a testament to the nurturing environment that Prudence International Residential School strives to provide.
